Man Accidentally Fires Gun in Grand Forks, Injures One

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

GRAND FORKS, N.D.–A man was injured after a handgun was unintentionally discharged in Grand Forks.

The Grand Forks Police Department responded to the 1600 block of 12th Avenue at approximately 7:45 p.m. for reports of a discharge of a firearm within city limits.

Officers learned that the gun was accidentally discharged while the operator was disassembling it.

The bullet struck a man in the residence. The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
