United Way holds virtual Live United Awards

The organization streamed their annual awards ceremony online

FARGO, N.D. — Social distancing did not stop United Way from recognizing those in the community who have done good over the past year.

The organization held it’s annual Live United Awards virtually. The Event revealed the winners of seven awards, including the community engagement, social media maven and best new united way campaign award.
The event also highlighted the top 50 most generous workplaces and the top 25 most engaged workplaces in the community.”I am so glad that we could go virtual this year and really keep the tradition of shining a light on the people and the organizations in this community that really make it what it is,” said host Kurtis Karn. “To celebrate the people in this community who have stepped forward, dedicate their time, their energy, their leadership to something bigger than themselves.

The winner of the leader of the year award went to Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.
