Five Arrested after Assault in Grand Forks

All five men were taken into custody without incident.

GRAND FORKS, N.D.–Five men were arrested on Sunday after breaking into an apartment and assaulting an individual.

The Grand Forks Police Department responded to the 3800 Block of Gardenview Drive at approximately 10:55 p.m. for reports of an assault.

When officers arrived they determined that multiple people broke into an apartment and assaulted the individual who lived there. Then the suspects electronically stole money from the individual they assaulted.

Police determined that several of the suspects knew the victim and were in another apartment within the same building.

Grand Forks Police obtained a search warrant and entered the suspects’ apartment. All five men were taken into custody without incident.

Twenty-year-old Luke Drougas of Grand Forks was charged with burglary, robbery, aggravated assault and terrorizing.

Nineteen-year-old Keegan Hofstad of Grand Forks was charged with burglary and robbery.

Nineteen-year-old Mason Demontigny of Fargo was charged with burglary and robbery.

Twenty-one-year-old Austin Suedel of Grand Forks was charged with burglary and robbery.

Tweny-year-old Jacob Busch of Fargo was charged with burglary.

The incident is still under investigation and police say the suspects could face additional charges.
