LIVE: Fargo Heart Walk Goes Virtual
Virtual Walk Set For August 13th
The American Heart Association Fargo Heart Walk is still raising awareness for heart health this year. Things just will look a little different.
Normally a big crowd gathers to honor people who have survived strokes and heart attacks.
But with health and safety in mind, the AHA is making this year’s Heart Walk virtual.
On August 13th, people who would normally be walking together are now asked to be active in their own homes or neighborhoods.
The format change also gives people the chance to do more than just walk in the name of heart health.
Walk organizer Jessica Lundgren explains they, “Want people active and healthy and enjoying the outdoors while still safely social distancing, so bike riding, rollerblading, jogging, whatever you like to do most.”
