Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Month goes virtual

National Association of Letter Carriers is holding their annual food fundraiser virtual again.

MINNESOTA & NORTH DAKOTA (KVRR) — National Association of Letter Carriers is hosting a virtual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Month.

The annual food fundraiser is normally held on the second Saturday in May. This year mail carriers are striving for an entire month of donations. It’s all to help out the Great Plains Food Bank. The fundraiser is virtual again this year due to the pandemic.

Melissa Sobolik, the president of Great Plains Food Banks hopes everyone will donate cash this year.

“So, we encourage people to look on our Facebook page, look in their mailboxes, and make sure they can donate dollars, which will, in turn, will go to the Great Plains Food Bank, the emergency food pantry, and Dorothy Day to purchase the foods that they so desperately need over the summer,” Sobolik said.
