Fargo Force “Motivated” By Western Conference Finals Appearance

Play Sioux City in best of three series starting Friday

FARGO, N.D. — If there was a course on learning how to come from behind and win, the Fargo Force would be at the top of the class. Its a strength that’s proven effective all season and its advanced them to the western conference finals.

The Force came back from down 0-1 in their series against Tri-City to win game two in overtime and the deciding game three with two late goals. Out of the 32 wins to this point, 10 have been way of scoring multiple goals in the third period.

Seeing the ability to battle back and stay alive for another week head coach Pierre-Paul Lamoureux says its giving the team a lot of motivation.

“Playoffs are a short window. There are momentum swings and there’s disappointment and excitement,” Lamoureux said. “Being able to ride the momentum of confidence. Confidence is a real thing in athletics and our group feels that. Our group is prepared and most importantly our group is competitive. We know were going to compete hard and work every single game. At the end of the day, that’s going to help us stay in games and give us the results we want.”

The Force already have the bus  warming up because its going to earn some miles this weekend. The best of three series for the western conference finals begins Friday in Sioux City  against the Musketeers. Then comes back to Fargo and Scheels Arena for game two on Saturday night. If a third game is necessary its back to Iowa on Monday for the decider.
