FARGO (KVRR) – A well-known Fargo-Moorhead area concert promotor is going out of business.

Jade Presents has confirmed that it’s closing its doors after more than three decades.

“After more than 30 years of bringing live entertainment to our community, it is with deep heartbreak that we share Jade Presents is closing its doors,” according to a news release from owner Jade Nielsen.

“From the beginning, we knew this industry was risky and unpredictable. But we also believed the reward — the joy, the impact, the community, and the shared experiences — was worth the risk. And it was. That is what makes this ending so incredibly painful.”

Some events have been canceled. The status of other future events is still unclear.

“At this time, we can confirm that Bluestem and UP District Festival Field shows will not be moving forward. There are still ongoing conversations and unknowns regarding Fargo Theatre and Aquarium events. Rather than wait until every detail is finalized, we wanted to communicate openly now because our patrons, partners, and community deserve transparency throughout this process.”

“This is an incredibly difficult announcement to make, and we know it will bring many questions. There are still ongoing conversations and details being worked through involving artists, venues, production partners, sponsors, vendors, ticketholders, and many logistical and legal matters.”

Multiple phone and email messages seeking comment from Nielsen and company officials have not been returned.
