Banana Ball Comes to Fargo
Both games between the Firefighters and "home team" Indianapolis Clowns were completely sold out.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – When it was announced back in February 2026 that Banana Ball was coming to Fargo, tickets became a hugely sought-after commodity.
Judging by the 4600+ fans that packed the stands on Friday and Saturday evening to watch the Firefighters take on the Indianapolis Clowns, the enthusiasm most definitely lived up to the hype.
“It was a pretty amazing feeling just to hear the crowd being excited. It gets us more excited,” said Errick Fox, manager of the Clowns. “We love being here.”
The Savannah Bananas are easily capable of selling out venues that hold over a hundred thousand people – but the purveyors of Banana Ball say that smaller environments, like Newman, bring an extra special dimension to the proceedings.
Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks staff say that seeing the setup of the operation was mind-boggling, and they’re proud of the role they played in bringing this spectacle to the people of the area.
“It’s just an amazing show, and we’re glad to be a part of it,” said Bob Roers, RedHawks director of business development. “It’s a lot of work, but I tell you what – we’ve got a lot of smiling faces.”
The Clowns won Friday evening’s contest by a score of 5 to 2, with the Firefighters getting revenge on Saturday with a 7 to 6 victory.
