Teenager killed in crash near Lidgerwood

LIDGERWOOD, N.D. (KVRR) — A 15-year-old is dead following a crash near Lidgerwood on Saturday, May 8th.

It happened at 12:22 a.m. when the boy was driving west bound on Highway 11.

Officials say his pickup entered the north ditch and he overcorrected, crossing both lanes of traffic.

His pickup then entered the south ditch and overturned multiple times, coming to rest on its roof.

Authorities say the boy was severely injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

He was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
