Amish Buggy Hit In Otter Tail County, Two Occupants Have Minor Injuries

OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (KVRR) — Two people are hurt when their horse drawn Amish buggy is hit on a snow covered County Highway 50 in Otter Tail County.

The sheriff’s office says the crash happened just before 11 a.m.

42-year-old Marcy Beaty of Deer Creek encountered the buggy at the bottom of a hill and swerved but hit it with the right side of her vehicle.

The buggy overturned and its two passengers, 56-year-old Raymond Schrock and 55-year-old Barbara Schrock of Wadena, suffered skin abrasions and cuts.

They were taken by ambulance to the hospital in Wadena.

The sheriff’s office says slippery road conditions were a factor in the crash. No citations were issued.
