Concordia College announces the Concordia Promise program which will cover students tuition in full
MOORHEAD, MINN. (KVRR) – The new program which will start the fall of 2024 will allow for students whose family has an Adjusted Gross Income below 90,000$ to have their full tuition covered.
“Sometimes families are surprised even if they’re a little bit beyond that 90,000 income threshold how affordable Concordia can be because of the scholarships and financial aid packages that we put together for students in a variety of income bands.” said Concordia’s Vice President Ben Iverson.
Concordia promise was inspired by the Minnesota office of higher education’s North Star program.
“This is partially interaction to the north star promise in Minnesota it’s a similar sort of program but we have gone a little bit beyond the minimum income threshold here with the Concordia promise the bigger thing is were offering this to students from any state so north Dakotans south Dakotans people from across the country are eligible in addition to Minnesota students,” said Iverson.
Another inspiration for the new program is to give students the opportunity to receive a private education at an affordable price.
Iverson also said. “The other bigger piece is that we recognize affordability is the big question for prospective students these days so we want to be able to offer Concordia college at a competitive price and I think this helps us accomplish that.”
The program is renewable for up to four years.
To be eligible you must be admitted into the college for the fall of 2024 and be eligible to file a FAFSA.
