“Reimagine Romkey” project receives $5 million to build new city pool

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The City of Moorhead is getting a new public swimming pool and Romkey Park is getting a makeover.
The Department of the Interior-National Park Service has awarded $5 million to the project.
It’s being made possible through the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership program.
The current swimming pool was built in 1958 and city leaders say it has exceeded its useful life.
Changes to the park include new playgrounds, basketball and pickleball courts, a skate park, soccer field, sledding hill and a sustainable food forest.
