Frost Fire Park Rearing Back To Life for 2023-2024 Winter Season

WALHALL, N.D. (KVRR) — They are back in business at Frost Fire Park near Walhalla, North Dakota.
Last winter, the skiing and snowboarding season at the park was called off due to major malfunctions with the snowmaking system.
Over the past year, Frost Fire Park has installed a state-of-the-art snow-making infrastructure.
It was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration.
The park will hold a grand reopening on Friday to begin the 2023 to 2024 season.
The mountain will have 11 runs for the season.
Park officials say they want to reclaim its position as a premier destination for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts in North Dakota.
“We are excited to be open for the upcoming season! With our new snow-making infrastructure, we will be opening three brand new runs this season – for a total of 11 – including our beginner magic carpet and two terrain parks” said Patty Gorder, general manager of Frost Fire Park. “We have so many loyal supporters and we are excited to see people out hitting the slopes in the beauty of the Pembina Gorge.”
Regular operating hours for the ski and snowboarding season will be Friday through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Frost Fire Park will also be open for daily skiing and snowboarding during the Holiday Break, from December 22 to January 2, excluding Christmas Day.
