Hulu Documentary Features Moorhead Lawmaker

MOORHEAD, Minn.  (KVRR) – The New Hulu Documentary We Live Here: The Midwest features some local talent.

State Representative Heather Keeler of Moorhead and her family were featured in the documentary.

The show highlights the individual experiences of LGBTQI+ families who have to overcome discrimination and are attempting to establish lives in their communities throughout the Midwest.

Keeler was elected to the Minnesota House of representatives in 2020.

“Across the nation we’re seeing a change in who our political leaders are. They’re mad at me because I’m an indigenous queer woman sitting at the table and the death threats that come with that show that people are still shook that we’re here.” Said Keeler.

The documentary was released today and available to stream exclusively on Hulu.
