Four pets die in Grand Forks duplex fire

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Multiple pets die in a duplex fire in Grand Forks.

Firefighters responded to a fire at 1118 1st Avenue North around 10:30 this morning.

They found heavy smoke coming from the front of the two-story duplex.

All of the people inside were able to get out in time.

CPR was performed on a dog and cat. In all, two dogs and two cats died.

The main floor apartment suffered significant smoke and
fire damage.

The American Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.
