Flood Threat Has Pedestrian Bridge Being Raised at Lindenwood and Gooseberry Parks

Lindenwood Bridge 122823

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — You don’t see this in December: the pedestrian bridge between Lindenwood Park in Fargo and Gooseberry Park in Moorhead is going to be raised Friday.

It is being taken out of service until the threat of flood subsides and Red River levels drop.

The river is at nearly 17 feet and expected to crest at 21 feet on Sunday in minor flood stage.

Those who use the bridge should plan an alternate route.
