FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A former Shanley assistant baseball coach is sentenced to ten days in the Cass County Jail followed by two years of probation.

Nicholas Tweiten, 37,  pleaded guilty last month to terrorizing and domestic violence after a July 2023 incident at home.

He apologized to his wife in court, saying it was “without a doubt the lowest and darkest moment” of his life, and that he was seeking weekly counseling.

Tweiten allegedly struck his wife multiple times and pointed a loaded handgun at her after a night of drinking.

She provided a tearful but supportive victim statement in court and pleaded with the judge not to impose any jail time.
