Moorhead Man Charged With Attempted Murder in October Shooting

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A Moorhead man has been tied to the shooting of another man last October and has been charged with 2nd degree attempted murder.

44-year-old Brandon Elliott made his first appearance on the charge this morning in Clay County Court.

Police found a man lying near 19th Avenue and 20th Street South in Moorhead on October 13 with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The man told police he did not know the suspect who fled in a SUV.

Police were able to tie Elliott to the crime through items taken from the scene.

They found ammunition in his home that was tied to casings where the shooting happened.

Elliott was also charged with multiple drug offenses after the search warrant.

He’ll be back in court February 6.
