Sheriff’s Office: No Threat To Public After Teen Found Tied Up Along Polk County Road

POLK CO. Minn. (KVRR) — Polk County Sheriff’s Office now says there is no known threat to the public after the discovery of a 17-year-old girl, tied up and left on the side of a county road about 10 miles south of East Grand Forks Monday afternoon.

The girl was alright after being checked by Altru Ambulance staff.

She told deputies that she had been abducted.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when available.

Monday night they were asking anyone who saw anything suspicious while driving south of East Grand Forks on Highway 220 in the area between Highway 2 and the Thompson Bridge or has any information on this case to call the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 218-281-0431.
