Joel Vettel running for Cass County Commission

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The former Fargo Park District executive director is running for Cass County Commission.

Joel Vettel is seeking the District 5 seat which is now held by Commissioner Mary Scherling.

She has served the maximum of three, 4-year terms.

Chad Peterson in District 1 is also completing the maximum three terms on the county commission.

County Commissioner Jim Kapitan in District 3 is running for reelection.

Vettel’s experience ranges from the park district to his 19 years as a Fargo police officer to his current role with Sanford Health Foundation.

The election is in June.
