FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – You can help kids in the Metro have the birthday party they deserve this Giving Hearts Day.

The group Box of Balloons has given out more than 700 birthday boxes for underprivileged kids in the last four years.
Each box contains everything for a party with up to six kids. They have decorations, party favors, an activity and a gift for the birthday child.
They give to the boxes to a parent or guardian so they can have the joy of throwing their kid a birthday party.
This Giving Hearts Day, they’re looking to raise at least $10,000, which would provide 100 kids in need with birthday parties they might otherwise not get.

Chris Welsand, Co-Director of the Fargo Chapter, says, “It helps them feel loved and special and it helps them bond with their families. It’s just a really important day. Who doesn’t want to be celebrated on their birthday?”
