Clitherall Man Avoids Trial for 2022 Crash on I-94 in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Clitherall, Minnesota man reaches a plea deal and avoids a trial, which was supposed to start today, for a crash in June 2022 in Fargo that left one man dead.
Shandi Cordner has pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and sentenced to five years in jail.
A charge of aggravated reckless driving was dropped.
Cordner crashed into a vehicle that had pulled over onto the shoulder on the I-94 exit ramp to northbound I-29.
Two men standing behind the vehicle were hit.
39-year-old Lucas Azure of Fargo later died of his injuries.
Cordner was initially charged and pled guilty to misdemeanor meth possession.
