USDA Grant Worth $975,000 For New Fire Station Project in Dilworth

DILWORTH, Minn. (KVRR) — Dilworth is getting some financial help with its fire station replacement project.
The city is getting a $975,000 USDA Rural Development grant.
The $10 million project will replace a 40-year-old building that is adjoined to the city’s community center.
The existing fire hall and community room will eventually be demolished.
Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith helped secure the grant money.
Klobuchar says Dilworth is long overdue for a new fire station while Smith says the new station will make sure firefighters and EMS providers have the space and equipment they need to do their jobs effectively.
