FARGO, N.D. A brand new display at this year’s Home and Garden show is letting design students show off their work for the entire metro.

The “Inspired Spaces” showcase lets teams of NDSU design students create their own flex spaces. Flex spaces are small areas in a home that you might not know what to do with.
Each team designed a 10 by 10 foot room.
They met with local design professionals who helped them find a theme.
Local businesses donated time, services and products to help bring the rooms to life.
But the look and feel of these rooms all come from the students.

NDSU Interior Design professor Aletha Lippay explains, “They scheduled everything start to finish. Concept boards. Drawings. And then they finally came to the dome on Wednesday of this week and they staged it all themselves.”

People can vote on their favorite design at the show or online by clicking here. The winning team gets $2,000 in scholarship money from the Home Builder Care of F-M Foundation.
