FARGO — One person is under arrest and five others were detained after an early-morning SWAT raid on a south Fargo residence.

Fargo police say they and the Red River Valley SWAT team helped out the Cass County Drug Task Force with the high-risk search warrant involving a narcotics operation in the 200 block of 25th Street South.

They say at around 6 a.m., the SWAT team used a flash-bang device to distract the subjects and reduce the danger of the raid.

Six people were detained, with one, Torrence Gipson, 40, of Fargo, arrested on an outstanding aggravated assault warrant.

Gipson is being held in the  Cass County Jail.

Police say their investigation continues.
