Fargo and Moorhead Mayors Issue Proclamation For Peace in Israel and Palestine

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — After weeks of citizens calling on local city governments to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney and Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson have issued a joint proclamation.

In it they advocate for a negotiated settlement, including the release of hostages and captives, and the building of a foundation for an enduring peace in the Gaza Strip.

Mahoney and Carlson say it reflects each cities commitment to being communities of inclusivity, justice and diplomacy.
