Red Lake Man Sentenced for Sexual Abuse of a Minor

MINNEAPOLIS (KVRR) — A Red Lake, Minnesota man is sentenced to over 6 years in prison for the sexual abuse of a minor.

According to court documents, 63-year-old Ronald Pearson was visiting a home on Red Lake Indian Reservation in August 2022 when the abuse occurred.

He pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court last September to one count of sexual abuse of a minor.

After his prison sentence, Pearson will be on supervised release for seven years.

The case was investigated by FBI, Red Lake Police Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
