Pelican Rapids Semi Driver Killed in Crash Tuesday in Chippewa County

CHIPPEWA CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A Pelican Rapids, Minnesota semi driver is dead after a crash early Tuesday evening in Chippewa County.

Minnesota State Patrol says 59-year-old Timmy Tarnowski collided with a truck at the intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 4 north of Maynard, near Granite Falls.

Tarnowski died in the crash.

The driver of the pickup, a 32-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, was taken to the hospital in Willmar with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
