2024 Dickey County burn ban and restrictions now in place

DICKEY COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) – Dickey County emergency manager Charlie Russell has announced that the burn ban and restrictions are in place now. There are rules people have to follow in the area before burning.

Here are the rules set by the county:

  • You must call your local fire department or the Dickey County Sheriff’s Office 701-349-3249 X1 before you burn or be subject to the cost of FD response!
  • You may burn anytime except- VERY HIGH or EXTREME FIRE DANGER has been issued for the county or a RED FLAG high wind warning issued by the NWS in Bismarck.

This format is the same one they’ve been using for years according to Russell.
