Minnewaukan Man Sentenced for His Role in St. Michael Assault in 2022

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Minnewaukan, North Dakota man is sentenced to 5 years in prison for assault while brandishing a firearm.
21-year-old Dantae Whitetail pleaded guilty for his role in the May 2022 crime in St. Michael, North Dakota.
Whitetail appeared in U.S. District Court in Fargo on Wednesday for the sentencing.
The judge gave him one year for assault with a dangerous weapon.
He added on 4 years for brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
21-year-old Nathaniel Azure will be sentenced in June for his role in the crime.
He was found guilty in December after a 7-day trial.
