Woman Dies in Fatal Moorhead Crash

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – One woman is dead after crashing into the support structure of the Main Ave. SE underpass in Moorhead Tuesday morning.

Around 10 AM the vehicle went over the median and struck the railroad support pillar. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and road conditions and traffic did not appear to be a factor in the collision, according to Moorhead Police. Frist responders were dispatched and the driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash is still under investigation, and police have not yet released the victim’s name. An autopsy on the victim will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Moorhead Public Works Department inspected the structure following the crash, and noted that it sustained no damage.
