Victim In Moorhead House Fire Last Week Is Identified

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The man found dead in a house fire in Moorhead last week has been identified.

Police say 73-year-old Steven Timmer died in the Thursday morning fire in the 2000 block of 56th Avenue North.

An initial autopsy report states Timmer died of soot and smoke inhalation.

Authorities say the cause of the fire appeared to be accidental and started in the kitchen.

The final autopsy report, including toxicology, is still pending.
