A Fargo native who has worked on some of the biggest cartoons in Hollywood is back with his first professional live action movie
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – A Fargo native who has worked on some of the biggest cartoons in Hollywood is back with his first professional live action movie.
Writer and producer Toby Jones is premiering his comedy, AJ Goes to the Dog Park, this Saturday at the Fargo Film Festival.
The movie centers around AJ and what happens when his favorite dog park closes.
He filmed the movie with many of his old friends right here in Fargo.
Jones has worked on some very popular cartoons, including Regular Show on Cartoon Network.
Even with his Hollywood success, Jones say it’s a career highlight to bring a film back to the Fargo Film Festival.
He adds, “Genuinely when I was growing up one of the things that I most wanted was to be able to play a movie, a full movie, at the Fargo Film Festival. It was one of those things. It was like a big dream. It’s been a long time, but we’re back and we’re doing it, and it kind of feels amazing.”
AJ Goes to the Dog Park premiers at 3:30 Saturday afternoon at the Fargo Theatre. Click here for ticket info. Check out a trailer for the film here.
