GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) – We’re not done with this spring storm just yet.

The National Weather Service issued an update Monday morning. They predict 3-6 more inches of snow in Fargo between now and Tuesday evening. Snow amounts are more significant further east. Detroit Lakes could see 4-8 more inches while Bemidji can expect 5-10 more inches.

The northern Red River Valley won’t see as much snow. There’s only a trace to 3 inches expected in Grand Forks, and 0-2 inches predicted in Hallock.

Snow will fall throughout the day, with periods of heavy snowfall mixed in.

The snow will be paired with strong winds. Most of the region will see gusts well over 30 mph, with some areas approaching 40 mph wind gusts. However, the NWS says blizzard conditions are less likely in the latest forecast due to decreased snowfall rates.
