FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — An apartment fire Saturday morning in south Fargo has been ruled unintentional.

Fire investigators determined the fire started in the ceiling space of a second-floor apartment unit near a bathroom exhaust fan at the apartment building at 2551 Villa Drive South.

It then spread through void spaces to the third floor and attic.

People were forced from the three-story, 24-unit building during the fire.

Three units remain uninhabitable until repairs can be completed.

The initial damage estimate was $80,000.
