Activist swimmer Riley Gaines will speak at NDSU

FARGO (KVRR) – Former University of Kentucky swim champion and activist Riley Gaines is coming to Fargo.

Gaines will speak at a ticketed event that’s open to the public at North Dakota State University on April 10.

Gaines is an outspoken opponent of allowing transgender athletes to compete against females.

She competed in an NCAA swimming championship against Lia Thomas, who became the first transgender woman to win a national title.

Gaines is coming to NDSU as part of her “Reclaim Feminism Campus Tour.”
