Bemidji Man Charged With Sexual Abuse of a Minor In Roseau County

ROSEAU CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A Bemidji man is accused of sexually abusing a young girl in Roseau County between 2016 and 2019.
35-year-old Jonathan Johnson is charged with two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct.
The 11-year-old female victim reported the abuse during an interview at Red River Child Advocacy Center in Fargo.
The girl claims the abuse happened when she was approximately seven or eight years old.
During an investigation, Johnson said he knew what had happened was wrong and he was sorry.
He also admitted that the girl would have been between the ages of four and six years old at the time.
Last week a judge set bail at $5,000 with conditions.
Johnson’s next court date is April 22.
