Fargo Police Officer Zach Robinson To Receive TOP COPS Award, First For North Dakota

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Police Officer Zach Robinson is one of ten officers across the entire country to be honored with this year’s TOP COPS Award.
The awards will be presented by the National Association of Police Organizations at the 31st annual TOP COPS Awards in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, May 12.
Robinson is the officer who took out the suspect that ambushed officers responding to a crash last July.
The suspect killed Officer Jake Wallin and injured Officer Tyler Hawes, Officer Andrew Dotas and an innocent bystander.
Robinson was nominated for the TOP COPS award by North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police.
He is the first person from North Dakota to receive this recognition.
