FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota’s own “Masterchef Junior” has exited the FOX competition show.

11-year-old Alfred Eggermont of Binford, north of Valley City, was eliminated by the judges last week and finished 6th overall out of 12 contestants.

A pancake smackdown and ice cream challenge took him out of the race.

His episodes started airing last month.

Eggermont says his dream is to publish a children’s midwestern cookbook one day that focuses on pantry and shelf-stable ingredients.

During an appearance on the KVRR Morning Show last month, he toldĀ  us he had a lot of fun during the audition and production process.
