WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) — North Dakota is getting nearly $29 million to identify and replace lead service lines.

The money comes from the Environmental Protection Agency as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law signed by President Biden.

EPA Regional Administrator KC Becker says everyone deserves access to clean drinking water.

Lead can cause a range of serious health impacts, including irreversible harm to brain development in kids.

Biden has committed to replacing every lead pipe in the country.
