Sheriff Warns About Fake IDs Being Used in Polk County

POLK CO., Minn. (KVRR) — Polk County Sheriff’s Office is warning businesses about fake IDs being used in the county.

They shared these examples of fake IDs compared to legal IDs.

They say under a black light, the holograms on the front of the fake ones glow much brighter and transmit through the reverse side of the card.

On the legal IDs the holograms are not as bright and don’t transmit through the back side.

If anyone comes across a fake ID, you should contact your local law enforcement.
