FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Dozens of Red Lobster locations across the country have suddenly closed including the Grand Forks restaurant.

A bartender told us that the corporate decision came down this morning with no warning.

She says the Grand Forks location had just hired a new GM and the sudden closure was a shock to all.

The Fargo and Bismarck locations remain open.

There are no closures listed for Red Lobster in Minnesota or South Dakota.

Around 80 locations in 27 states are listed as “temporarily closed” on their website.

There are more than 700 locations worldwide.

The chain is in the process of seeking a buyer to avoid filing for bankruptcy.
