LIVE: Hospice care extends to family and friends at Hospice Memorial Event

Hospice care doesn't end when a patient passes away

FARGO/MOORHEAD (KVRR) – Hospice care doesn’t end when a patient passes away.

Sanford Hospice is inviting the public to celebrate their departed loved ones at their annual Hospice Memorial Event on Thursday.
Sanford’s hospice program helps patients with end-of-life care.
But that care extends well beyond that.
They assist families and friends of hospice patients up to 13 months after they die.
That could be with follow-up calls, support groups, or Thursday’s Hospice Memorial Event.

Alison Rowell, a Sanford Hospice House Social Worker, explains, “We like to honor the patients we’ve had the opportunity to serve and that kind of extends to the families too in welcoming them to the memorial event.”

The Hospice Memorial Event is from 4-5 pm Thursday afternoon at the Offutt School of Business at Concordia College. Click here for more info.
