Tigirlily Gold Wins First Major Country Music Award, “After 11 Years of Long Days, Short Nights”

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota’s own country music sister singing duo lands their first major award.
Tigirlily Gold learned they won the ACM New Duo/Group of the Year award during the ACM Kickoff Festival on Tuesday.
The actual awards show takes place Thursday night in Frisco, Texas and will be streamed on Prime Video.
Krista and Kendra Slaubaugh are from Hazen, North Dakota.
In a social media post they said this is “11 years of long days, short nights, ups and downs, and never giving up. Thank you to the @acmawards for this incredible honor.”
The ladies beat out Neon Union and Restless Road for the award.
According to an ACM post Wednesday afternoon, Tigirlily Gold has been asked to perform live at the awards show Thursday night.
