UPDATE: Police Say man With Gun Caused Disturbance in South Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Police say a man with a gun barricaded himself in an apartment in the 1800 block of 2nd Avenue South in Fargo around 4:20 p.m.
They say 36-year-old Bryant Matthews, who has no permanent address, made threats to the occupant of the apartment.
Red River Valley SWAT Team was brought in to take Matthews into custody just before 8.p.m.
He was taken to Cass County Jail for felony criminal trespass.
Fargo Police gave an update at 8:20 p.m. saying the scene had been secured and they no longer ask the public to avoid the area.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.

People are being asked to avoid the 1800 block of 2nd Avenue South.
Fargo Police Department posting on social media around 7:20 p.m. that they were responding to some sort of disturbance.
That area includes Jefferson Park.
Police have not released any additional information at this time but did say information will be shared as it becomes available.
