FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Moms Demand Action is behind an event this upcoming weekend to honor gun violence victims.
Metro area mayors have proclaimed Friday as National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
The annual event takes place on the first Friday in June, and marks the beginning of Wear Orange Weekend.
People are encouraged to wear orange and to display orange lightbulbs through June 14th to demonstrate the value of lives impacted by gun violence.
A Wear Orange Event will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday to honor victims and call for an end to gun violence.
It’ll be held outdoors at First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead.
