Florida Semi Driver Charged and Cited after Rig Jackknifes in the Rain Near Casselton

CASS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A semi driver from Trinity, Florida is charged after his rig jackknifed in the rain on I-94 at the Casselton exit.
Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Scott Pettingill was pulling an empty cattle trailer when he hit the ditch around 2 p.m.
Around 100 gallons of diesel spilled on the north side of the interstate.
Casselton and Fargo Fire worked to stop the diesel from spreading.
Traffic was reduced to one westbound lane for about 2 hours.
Pettingill was charged with driving under suspension and cited for log book violations and care required.
