Fargo Police Department Sending Officers To Assist With Security At RNC in Milwaukee

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo City Commissioners voted 4-1 to provide mutual aid to Wisconsin for the Republican National Convention.
Commissioner Denise Kolpack voted against the request due to concerns over police staffing needs in Fargo.
The police department will be sending 15 officers to Milwaukee for seven days from July 13-19.
Police Chief Dave Zibolski told the commission that all of the costs will be covered by the State of Wisconsin.
He also said it shouldn’t impact police staffing levels in Fargo that week.
