Road Grader Gets Hit By BNSF Train in Mahnomen County

MAHNOMEN CO., Minn. (KVRR) — The sheriff’s office in Mahnomen County and White Earth Police had to investigate after a crash between a BNSF train and a road grader.

It happened Monday afternoon just after 4 in Island Lake Township, northeast of Mahnomen.

The responding deputy determined that the road grader had not cleared the tracks in time and the rear section was hit by the passing train.

There was just minimal damage and nobody was injured.
