Two People In Custody After Reported Armed Robbery in Valley City

BARNES CO., N.D. (KVRR) — Two people are in custody after a call for a possible armed robbery in Valley City.

Law enforcement was called around 6:30 p.m. to the 200 block of College Street Northeast and met with two victims.

Two suspects were identified and they had fled the area.

They were tracked down to a home in Sanborn, North Dakota, about 15 minutes west of Valley City.

North Dakota Highway Patrol and Barnes County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to make contact with the suspects and they refused to come out.

But after a brief time, they both came out voluntarily and were taken into custody.

Police say there is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
